La-Z-Boy is best known for recliners. Over the decades, though, the company built a whole-home furniture portfolio through three heritage brands — American Drew, Hammary, and Kincaid. Each one brings its own specialty and decades of North Carolina craftsmanship to the table. Until recently, all three operated as La-Z-Boy subsidiaries. In early 2026, La-Z-Boy sold the American Drew and Kincaid wholesale businesses to sharpen its focus on upholstery. Hammary remains part of the La-Z-Boy family. The good news for consumers is that La-Z-Boy stores still carry all three brands as part of their whole-home offering.
