The first question most people ask when they hear about our free design service is: “Can I see some of your before and after pictures?”

At La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Décor, all of our degreed interior designers have a portfolio that showcases their work.

Our free design service has helped thousands of homeowners bring their living room, dining room, and bedroom dreams to life.

In this article, we’ll take a look at some real life before & after pictures to show what our interior design team can do for you.

1) A Hangout for Grandkids

These Charleston clients wanted space and durability for when their grandkids came to visit. They chose the Armitage in select leather and Hammary’s Skyline coffee table that provides contrast, while keeping it light and welcoming with the finishing touches.

2) Living Room Upgrade

This client’s furniture was well loved over the past few years, but they were ready for a much-needed
change. Their leather recliner was a must keep, so we made sure to work around that in the design.
The client wanted the room to feel warm and rich in color while blending their already traditional style with touches of modern. They had a lot of warm tones throughout the home, so we made sure the new pieces gave a nice flow from one room to the next.

The Talladega sofa in the taupe color helped blend the colors together while the tailored style brought out a hint of modern. We then added the Scarlett and Maeve chairs in fun, subtle prints with golds and creams. We were able to achieve a cohesive blend of modern and traditional.

3) Family Room Facelift

This client came in wanting to completely transform her space. She was nervous about such a big change. Her wish was to bring in greens and other earth tones to make the space feel warm and inviting. She needed a lot of seating for her family. Her husband was used to a reclining set, so we gave her the best of both worlds with the Edie sectional.

The Rheeves recliner and the Roundabout ottoman that can be used for extra seating both fit the bill. Her only non-negotiable were her beautiful lamps that she loves. Before, they were hidden, and did not stand out. After our suggestion to place them behind the sectional on a console table, they became a statement piece for the room. Although she was apprehensive at first, she couldn’t be happier with how her room turned out.

4) Moving to the South

These clients had just moved from upstate New York to Augusta Georgia, bringing a few items to their new home. Their wish: to design their living room completely different than the traditional style they were used to. The new home consisted of mixed metals, marble accents, and neutral tones. The touches of black gave it a clean, modern look.

My goal was to give them a new look while keeping it warm, classy, and cozy. The Emmons in the caramel leather gave the richness they wanted. This not only gave the husband his own recliner, but the reclining set can be enjoyed by both. By mixing metals and textures, and incorporating black and warm cognac colors, we gave them a whole new vibe.

5) Closer to Family

These clients had just moved to Aiken, South Carolina to be closer to family. They had beautiful artwork they wanted to incorporate throughout the home. Our goal was to make sure the furniture was cohesive with the art. They wanted a clean, tone on tone feel, but also wanted to mix different textures.

The Paxton sectional was the perfect low, clean line, modern look they were going for. Two Allegra swivel chairs made it the perfect conversation area. We decided to do a linen, warm white fabric on their sectional. For contrast, we did a greyish-brown leather on the chairs, bringing in another element. To cozy the space, we did a knotted cream rug to keep everything neutral but add another texture. Bringing everything together with warm woods, we gave them the Modern Minimalist look they wanted.

6) A View of the Lake

These clients were building a new home with a beautiful view of the lake. Their color scheme would be warms woods, creams, touches of copper, and hints of a blue-gray/teal. They wanted the space to have a subtle “lake house” feel, but not cheesy or obvious.

We did the Natalie sofa, chair and ottoman in a neutral fabric for that updated traditional look. Two Ferndale swivel chairs in a calming print were perfect for their morning coffee view. We went with neutral tones, subtle prints, and touches of a light teal. This gave them the calming and inviting room they were seeking.

7) Fireside Comfort

This client wanted to re-do their living room because it has been well loved for many years. It was time for
a change. They still wanted to keep the traditional feel of the room without the formal feel they already had.

We changed up the room to add the Trouper leather reclining sofa and chair for comfort and warmth. Two Ferndale swivel chairs were added for reading by the fire, or spending time with guests. Their curtains were a must keep, so we made sure to incorporate them into the design. We brought out reds and golds with the accent pieces. By refreshing the lamps, tables, artwork and rug, it gave the room a nice update.
