How to Remove Your La-Z-Boy Recliner Back
What You’ll Need: Flat/Slotted Screwdriver
- Roll Your Recliner Forward
- Locate Locking Brackets on the Back
- Pull Locking Levers Up with Slotted Screwdriver
- Roll Recliner Back to Normal Position
- Remove Backrest by Rocking Side-to-Side in Upward Motion
Take This Opportunity to Tighten Your Brackets
The brackets on the back of your La-Z-Boy Recliner can get loose over time.
While the back of your recliner is off, tighten the screws on both brackets to make it more secure.
You can also tighten the exposed screws on the brackets of the body. These are the brackets that keep the back in place.
Tightening these screws will keep the back of your recliner from wobbling or tilting.
After these screws are tightened, you’re ready to put your La-Z-Boy Recliner back together.
