In this article and video, we’ll show you how to program the memory preset buttons on your La-Z-Boy Recliner.
Program La-Z-Boy Recliner Preset #1
To get started, grab your La-Z-Boy Wireless Remote and adjust the chair into your favorite reclined position.
Once you’re comfortable, find the #1 button beneath your home button then press and hold for three seconds.
Your remote will beep once to signal your reclined position has been saved as preset number one.
To make sure your preset is saved correctly, press home to return to your normal seated position.
Click #1 on the remote to see if your chair automatically returns to your saved position.
If so, your first memory preset has been programmed and is ready for operation.
Program La-Z-Boy Recliner Preset #2
Now that your first preset has been saved successfully, we can move on to number two.
Most people will save this preset as the secondary position they spend the most time in.
For example, you may recline your legrest 3/4 of the way so it’s easier to talk with company or type on your laptop.
To program this preset, we’ll follow the same steps as before.
- Get into your second favorite reclined position.
- Press and hold #2 for three seconds.
- Your remote will beep twice when it’s saved.
Also, you can test this preset by returning to the home position then pressing number two.
What If My La-Z-Boy Remote Beeps Three Times?
Your remote is programmed to beep three times if your preset didn’t save correctly.
If this happens, try programming your presets again by following the steps above.
You’ll hear one beep for position #1 and two beeps for position #2 when done successfully.
