If your La-Z-Boy Power Footrest is having trouble closing all the way, you may have triggered the safety mechanism.

This safety feature will prevent you from accidentally closing your footrest on anything.

When this happens, you’ll need to reset the safety clips inside of this mechanism.

Lift your footrest to the upright position while no one is sitting in the recliner.

Firmly press down on each side of your footrest until you hear it click back into place.

To see if this worked, press the button to lower your footrest and close it all the way.

If your footrest completely closes, your safety clips have been reset and you’re ready to relax.
