The La-Z-Boy Jay is a classic reclining chair built for easy, everyday comfort, with a supportive back, a roomy seat, and a range of fabric, leather, and mechanism upgrades to suit how you relax. If you’re trying to decide whether it’s the right recliner for you, this review lays out its features, dimensions, and available options in plain terms.

At La-Z-Boy, we’ve helped thousands of people find the perfect recliner for their body type and unique needs. Because the right chair comes down to more than looks, it helps to know exactly what a model offers before you commit.

The best breastfeeding chair is one that fits both you and your baby, not just the nursery. In practice, that means a recliner you can lean back in without raising the legrest, a gentle rocking or gliding motion to settle a fussy newborn, and a stain-resistant fabric that shrugs off the inevitable spills. Get those three things right, and the chair earns its keep through every late-night feeding.

La-Z-Boy offers three seat cushion options: the standard Comfort Core, the softer Down Comfort, and the firmer Comfort Core with Contour. Each one changes how your sofa feels the moment you sit down. The Comfort Core gives you a balanced, everyday sit. The Down Comfort adds a plush, sink-in feel. The Comfort Core with Contour delivers the firmest, most supportive sit of the three. Below, we break down how each cushion is built and who it suits. That way, you can picture the difference before you ever reach the showroom.

This special event only happens twice a year, in April and October (we’re starting early this fall!), giving you the perfect opportunity to refresh your home and support local families in need. The current sale runs from September 15 through November 2, making it one of our most meaningful promotions of the year.
