Meet Katherine Sipes, an interior designer at La-Z-Boy in Pineville, NC. With a fine arts background in fibers and color theory, she brings an artist’s eye to every project.

Katherine Sipes earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from North Carolina State University, where she specialized in fiber studies and color theory. That unique background gave her a deep understanding of how different fabrics, textures, and colors work together in a space, and it naturally led her into the world of interior design. Her personal style leans mid-century modern with bohemian accents, but her real strength is blending her own design eye with each client’s vision to create something that feels right for them.

Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, Katherine chose to work at La-Z-Boy because it is the only furniture retailer that hires degreed interior designers, which means clients get genuine design expertise without any sales pressure. Her favorite part of the La-Z-Boy Interior Design Program is the ability to place exact frames, fabrics, rugs, lamps, and accessories into a room design so clients can see the full picture before making a single decision.

Outside of La-Z-Boy, Katherine is a dog mom to a toy Australian Shepherd named Bella and a long-haired Dachshund named Griffin.
