Meet Isabella Orbe, Interior Designer at La-Z-Boy Northlake
La-Z-Boy Southeast | August 27, 2026

Isabella Orbe is from the Lake Norman community outside Charlotte, North Carolina. She’s always been creative and hands-on — by her own admission, she’s never met an arts and crafts project she didn’t like. A beginner interior design class in high school was the turning point: it was the first time she realized that being creative and hands-on could be a career, not just a hobby.
She earned her Bachelor of Interior Design from Louisiana State University’s CIDA-accredited program, graduating in 2025. Her coursework focused primarily on commercial design, and while she genuinely enjoyed that work, residential design always held her interest — she’s drawn to working closely with clients and creating spaces that reflect their individual taste, lifestyle, and needs.
Her goal as a designer is to create timeless spaces clients will still love years down the road. She designs around each client’s wants and lifestyle, looking for the elements that give a room personality without dating it. Her own style leans coastal and farmhouse, though she loves the occasional maximalist space full of color, artwork, and wallpaper. Above all, she wants a space to feel like a true reflection of the people who live there rather than a trend.
Outside of work, she’s usually exploring the city in search of a new restaurant or coffee shop, playing pickleball, or cheering on LSU sports. She loves to travel when she can, but some of her favorite time is spent simply with friends and family.
