Meet Kamden Ray, Interior Designer at La-Z-Boy Pooler, GA

Kamden Ray is from Savannah, Georgia. She grew up painting and drawing, but always thought of it as a hobby rather than a career. It wasn’t until she started exploring majors at university that it came together — interior design struck her as the perfect blend of the artistic and the technical.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from High Point University in May 2026, graduating Summa Cum Laude with Department Honors. On campus she was a member of four honor societies and the International Furnishings and Design Association, served as secretary of her school’s ASID chapter, and was named Resident Life Office Assistant of the Year.

Her passion is universal design — the focus of her honors project — and helping older adults live more comfortably and independently at home. She loves making a space work functionally while still bringing a client’s aesthetic to life, and she enjoys every part of watching that vision take shape.

Outside of work, she’s a black belt in American Tang Soo Do and can usually be found doing watercolor or diamond art. She lives with her black cat, Draco Meowfoy, and never misses a season of Big Brother.
